Yasiin Bouba

YasiinBouba (1996), real name Yasiin Boubakar, is a Dutch/English speaking artist and producer who grew up in the small village of Den Burg on the island of Texel.

At the age of 18 he started making music. Because he didn’t know any artists, he started writing and recording his songs himself, which he then posted on his social media. Through this he got to know rappers, singers and producers with whom he started collaborating on Anglophone Hip Hop/R&B. Thus he started performing at weddings and parties here he started to find his style and interest in music.

His goal was to make people laugh and dance to make it a big party.

With this goal he started creating Afro music. He achieved his greatest success with his single »Rosamo» which was released in August 2020.

He describes his style as diverse, open and international. He uses many different languages ​​in his songs and tries to bring culture and roots together in a unique creation.

He is inspired by artists such as: Mos Def (Yasiin Bey), Kanye West and Nas.

His afro influences are triggered by Congolese »Soukous» and contemporary music by Burna Boy and Wizkid.

YasiinBouba is currently working on a number of songs that will be released in the summer of 2022.
